Pizza is not a healthy dish but once in a while , say on weekends its ok to indulge in such a tasty delicacy.
Home made pan pizza
Ingredients
wholewheat flour - 1 cup
Refined flour- 1/3 cup
baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
salt - 1/3 teaspoon
youghurt- 3 tablespoon
warm water- 200 ml
sugar- 1 tablespoon
olive oil -1.5 teaspoon
pizza spread
tomato ketchup
vegetables of your choice
grated pizza cheese
First we will prepare the pizza dough
Method of preparing pizza dough
Take
a big bowl . Add 1 cup of wholewheat flour and one fourth cup of
refined flour in the bowl.To this add half teaspoon of baking powder and
1/3 teaspoon salt.
Take
200 ml warm water in another bowl and add 1 tbspoon of sugar to it.Add 3
tbspoons of yogurt, and 1.5 teaspoons of olive oil to it.
Add
the above water mixture to the dough and kneed it smoothly.kneed it for
4-5 minutes so that it will get smooth.. Kneed it by throwing on the
kitchen slap 3-4 times. Put few drops of oil on the dough and kneed it
again.Try making small balls out of it and if the balls turns out
smooth, without any crack, that means your dough is ready.Cover the
dough with a wrap and keep it aside for 2 hour.
After
one hour on rising it will become loose. Now divide it into equal size
balls .Then roll the ball into a circle and put the rolled circle on a
pre heated pan.Before putting the pizza base on the pan, don`t forget to
greese the pan with oil otherwise the pizza base with stick to the
pan.Cook for 4-5 minutes on the medium or low heat till the base is
light golden.Then turn it on the other side and let it cook for 2-3
minutes.
Now
spread the tomato ketchup, pizza sauce and cheese on the base.Add on the
chopped vegetables (add salt and black pepper to the chopped
vegetables)of your choice and then again spread some grated cheese over
it.
Cover the pan with lid and cook for 4-5 minutes or until the cheese has melted .Remove it from the pan and served it hot.
You can serve it with the garlic chutney.
