Soya chap tikks masala gravy

Soya Chaap rich in proteins is both healthy as well as tasty.I can eat it any time and my kids are just crazy for it.Earlier i made dry soya chaap masala , which was an instant hit.Now i m posting the pecipe of soya chaap butter masala with gravy.Its upto you whether you will use butter of refined oil.If you want a healthy version of it, go for refined oil else enjoy the aroma of butter.Believe me it is very tasty.



INGREDIENTS


  • Soya chaap - 7-8 pieces
  • Ginger
  • garlic  2-3 clover
  • 3 medium onions
  • 3 large tomatoes
  • 1 bowl curd
  • soya chaap masala
  • coriander powder
  • garam masala
  • salt
  • oil
  • milk
  • cream
  • green coriander


METHOD - HOW TO PREPARE SOYA CHAAP

There are 3 parts in making gravy soya chaap

Part 1  Marinade the soya  sticks


Take 7-8 sticks of pre boiled soya chaap






 Boil the chaap sticks in water in a pan for 5-6 minutes






After  boiling  strain the water using a strainer




 Cut the chaap sticks in small pieces.YOU can leave this step if you would like to have chaap with sticks.









Now  Take half bowl hung curd in a mediul sized bowl.









 Add 1 tb spn soya chaap masala




 1/2 teaspoon salt







 1 teaspoon coriander powder




 1/4 teaspoon garam masala






 Now The curd will look like this.It is ready for marinading the chaap sticks.





  

Marinade the chaap in the curd gravy and keep them in the fridge for 4-5 hours




 PART 2 PREPARING THE SOYA CHAAPS




 Heat oil in a non stick pan






Put the chaap in the pan and cook on medium flame for 5 minutes.
cover the lid.





 Then cook on the other side and add some curd if you find it a little dry.
your yummy chaap is ready.





 

PART 3 -  PREPARING THE GRAVY


HEAT 1 TEASPOON OIL/ BUTTER IN  A pan




Grind the onions, garlic and ginger to a fine paste.Put the paste in the pan and saute it for a while.



Now add the tomato paste and again cook it for 2- minutes.Now add garam masala, salt and soya chaap masala.



When it starts to boil, add half glass milk and 2 tablespoon curd to it and keep sauting it for 2-3 minutes.Stir continuously until the masala simmers.Now add 1/2 cup water to it and cover the lid.Let it cook for 4-5 minutes.



Now add the soya chaaps to the gravy and sprinkle some coriander over it if you want
